Tester: Tester Test

Looking for feedback on the ‘Call for Testing’ emails.

This is actually the first ‘Call for Testing’ email. 🙂

I will ‘make a call’ for any new or updated pages on the site, basically, an email with all the details about what needs to be tested along with a button/link for ‘Discussion’. Just click on it and it will take you to SleuthPower.com, (a place for dialogue, training, and information dissemination for all things related to LetsConX.com).

I do have a concern, that these emails end up in your ‘Inbox’ and not in ‘All Mail’, ‘Promotion’, or worse yet your ‘Spam’ folder! For GMail users you can simply drop and drag out of the ‘Promotion’ folder and into your inbox. Also, if you could add me to your contacts – alanna@letsconx.com.

I’ve also created a page to give a bit more details about ‘testing‘ and what it entails.

What is ‘Testing’?

Testing is a process where we check a section of code before we move it to our live production site for the general public. Ideally, through testing, we will be able to identify issues and correct them so that there’s a better experience for the end-user. Our rollout of new functionality is a process that starts with development and gets pushed through different phases for thorough analysis before finally being ‘made live’. All of our administrative staff when asked are REQUIRED to participate in the testing phase.

Testing could be an improvement on something that currently exists or could be something brand new that has never been previously published.

Note: The site should look and function well regardless of the device used to access it.
